Warranties are wonderful. And it is interesting how if something goes wrong, it happens just after the warranty has expired!
Concrete is often referred to as 'cast stone'. It is a great media to play with. It becomes even more interesting- the more you know about it. And the more you know about it, as with most other skills, the better the product.
Few contractors in the industry understand why it is that one concrete mix can be better than another -on the molecular level, that is.
A simple example is this- Concrete forms crystals. Like fingers inter-twined. The more water used in the mix, the further the fingers must reach, thus weakening the union. As a result of this, some concrete has more longevity than others. Big Fish Custom Inc recognizes a lot of these factors. Including the point that materials are cheap compared to the labor and time involved with the overall picture. We use better quality ingredients to cook up better stew!

Big Fish® Bathtubs come with a 5 year warranty! If one of ours fails within 5 years, we will make you a new one! Built to last, our bathtubs have mix designs that help resist corrosion. The seal coat installed for your tub does not fall under the 5 year warranty, and should be maintained periodically- depending on frequency of use.

With countertops, price per price - we guarantee yours will be nicer than theirs! Other than this, the finish of your countertops come polished to a specific grit, sealed and waxed- unless specified otherwise by you. Your routine maintenance is the best way to preserve appearance of the concrete, After all, you know what you are doing to them or on them in the privacy of your home!
One understanding that should be made, is that with pre-cast countertops, from all and any fabricator, is that you are purchasing a 'product' not the 'service'. So beware of others! You do not have to be a licensed contractor to produce concrete countertops. One is, however, required to have a contractor's license to install them-(and with 'Poured in place' countertops) only because of the work to be performed in your home. Big Fish Custom Inc is licensed, bonded and issured to do this work in your home and business!

With Stamped, you have a year warranty on the 'integrity' not the 'finish'. Same as above, we have no idea what you might inflict on the concrete. The concrete will usually crack, but not 'fail'. A patio or driveway can develop cracking as the concrete is curing. But with the rebar we install standard, it won't shift or pull apart or otherwise fail in its performance. Again, a year warranty is required from any licensed contractor by law.
Beyond the 'integrity', we will warranty the 'finish', so long as guidelines are followed. This standard one year warranty can be extended! We charge for a service to wash and re-seal the concrete in advance. So for example, you pay for a two year warranty. We would come by periodically inspecting the concrete and re-seal it when it became necessary. This takes guess work out of when you should call for us to come by and re-seal your existing concrete. The sealer is your 'sacrificial' coat. This layer is maintained. If you wear through the sealer on the stamped concrete, you will start to wear the coloring and reduce the quality of its appearance. Properly maintained stamped concrete will look fantastic for decades to come!

Most all other works of concrete we perform carry the same sort of guarantees as listed above. If Big Fish Custom Inc constructed it, it performs and looks great! And we warranty the integrity for atleast a year. If you purchase our maintenance program, this extends the warranty for 2, 4, 19 years, or whichever, then the finish is also covered- worry free!
You can purchase the maintenance program only at the time of construction, or if purchased at the time of construction, you can purchase extended years within and throughout the time you are covered for. For example, you purchase the 2 year guarantee initially, then decide to extend it another year- 23 months later. No problem, so long as it is done while coverage is still in effect!
We can and do service existing concrete work. Contact us to re-seal your existing concrete- even if another contractor installed it- but can't warranty their work!
Our metal work etc carries same 12 month warranty but can also be serviced beyond this.
